Today my brother and sister-in-law came over for mimosas and a pancake brunch and then we headed out to do some hiking at the preserve. When we got there we found out it was closed due to hazardous conditions so we drove out into the middle of nowhere and hiked around the gorgeous hills of La Cresta. We explored a creepy old abandoned house and had so much fun chatting and walking.

We kicked off the first day of spring with a walk around the lake in our neighborhood to feed the duckies and enjoy the sunshine. We took a bike ride to Starbucks and then my friend Kayla came over to stay the night. After stuffing our bellies with Tri-tip and mashed potatoes and entertaining my crazy daughter, we curled up on the couch to ball our eyes out while watching Dolphin Tale (awesome i know). Wednesday we woke up and spent a relaxing day trying to "de-casperize" our ghostly bodies in the sunshine while drinking iced tea and reading.
Although we have all had a blast watching twinkle toes do her thang, we are all ready for something new... Swim class! So next week is her last class and we are getting prepared for the summer months right around the corner.

On Sunday morning we braved the storm and headed to church at the amazing Rancho Del Rey Church in Carlsbad.
After church, my whole fam went to eat at the Broken Yolk in San Diego and then walked a few blocks to go bowling at the East Village Tavern Bowl to celebrate my amazing Dad's birthday. No seriously though, he is the most amazing man ever. He's respected and loved by literally everyone he comes in contact with. I have never met a person who doesn't love this man and I look up to him and his character in every way.
After bowling we went to my parents house in Fallbrook for a delish corned beef feast. It started hailing and we all ran out to play in it. The weather in California seriously needs some mood stabilizers... its all over the place! Our good friends Kayla and Erick came to join us for dinner and "Frozen Planet" (a show on Discovery Channel).
