Nutrition and Your Toddler

The one year and older stage is hard when it comes to an eating regimen. They are more active than ever which means they need better nutrition than ever... it also means getting them to sit down long enough to eat a meal is hard. I've learned that your child should have "the color of the rainbow" everyday, the more healthy variety the better. I have tried everything to get my little busy body to eat but it usually always means tantrums, spitting out her food, and lots of tears. I have finally found something that works! Toward the end of her nap I start making her lunch and as soon as she wakes up i sit my groggy girl in front of a tray of finger foods. She's hungry enough to eat, has fun feeding herself, and I don't have to tear her away from an activity that she is engrossed in.
YAY!!
