cute diy spring pillows!

Here’s what you need:

Square cut of fabric (I used a heavyweight cotton)
Scissors
Glue gun
Ric-rac in assorted colors
Polyfill

Step 1: Cut two square pieces of fabric identical in size
for your pillow (mine were approx 12″x12″)

Step 2: Measure and cut a length of ric-rac needed
to create first circle:

Step 3: Hot glue one end of the ric-rac to the pillow.

Step 4: Work your way around the length of ric-rac, forming a circle as you go. You don’t need to hot glue the whole thing down at this point. Just a dab at each “corner” of the circle (think 3, 6, 9, and 12 on a clock). Then you can glue down any areas that are puckering.

Step 5: Measure and cut lengths of ric-rac for the rest of the circles.
Step 6: Cut out pieces of felt in leaf shapes and sew on
using a simple running stitch.

Step 7: Pin the wrong sides of your fabric together and sew
around the edges, leaving an opening for your polyfill.

Step 8: Insert polyfill and sew opening shut.
Done! I love that you can add your own creative touch to these, making them your own by using different colors, and a variety of flower shapes. Happy Spring!
